We would like to invite you to the “Educating for Gender Equality in the Workplace” conference, as part of a collaboration between Springboard programmes in the Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology (IADT); EDIFY EDU – a European project focused on enhancing management education skills, particularly in equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI); and the Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Chamber of Commerce.
The conference will be held on June 7th 2024, in Eurofound, Loughlinstown, Dublin 18, from 9am to 4pm. The conference will also be available to participate in online. This promises to be an insightful and participative conference that aims to gather educators, professionals, and graduates to discuss the challenges and successes of implementing EDI practices in the workplace. The conference aims to provide context to gender equality in the workplace, particularly focusing on research at a European and national level, shedding light on gender-related challenges individuals face in the workplace and exploring potential solutions.

Keynote Speakers
Barbara Gerstenberger, Eurofound.
Barbara Gerstenberger is the Head of the Working Life unit at Eurofound. In this role, she coordinates the research teams investigating job quality in Europe based on the European Working Conditions Survey and has overall responsibility for research into industrial relations in the EU. She joined Eurofound in 2001 as a research manager in the then newly established European Monitoring Centre on Change (EMCC).
Dr Lisa Wilson, The Nevin Economic Research Institute (NERI)
Dr Lisa Wilson is a Senior Economist at the Nevin Economic Research Institute (NERI), where she carried out a broad range of work in areas related to labour market, income distribution, poverty, public expenditure, living standards, and well-being.

Dr Audrey Stenson, IADT
Dr Audrey Stenson is the principal investigator on the EDIFY EDU project. Audrey holds a Ph.D. from the University of Wolverhampton in Psychology, an M.Sc. in Cyberpsychology from IADT, an MA in Psychoanalysis by Clinical Specialisation from Dublin Business School and a B.Sc. in Information Systems from Trinity College Dublin. Audrey has over 20 years academic experience in lecturing and researching in the fields of business, technology and psychology.

Dr Suzanne Carthy, IADT
Dr. Suzanne Carthy, (LL.M, LL.B, B. Bus.) holds a law degree at Trinity College, Dublin and LL.M at Queen’s University Belfast. After over a decade in legal practice, Suzanne returned to education to pursue her interest in business and organizational behaviour, taking part in the Springboard programme at IADT. This pivot to business education led to a Ph.D. at UCD Smurfit Postgraduate Business School, where Suzanne examined gender inequality in the Irish legal profession for her doctoral thesis.
